Arabian Hala is the family-owned company that is the exclusive Avis Rent-a-Car franchisee in Saudi Arabia. Our story began in Riyadh, where in 1977 we started operating as Hala Rent-a-Car – with a small fleet of just 27 vehicles. Through perseverance and hard work our business steadily grew and we began diversifying into other activities. In 1993 we were honoured to be awarded the Avis franchise against stiff competition from a long list of well-established candidates..
Over time we complemented our car rental business with an express courier service and a supply chain provider. Our continued success with these entities saw them evolve into joint-ventures with prominent Saudi Arabian companies such as Saudi Post and the Basamh Group. Of particular note is Naqel, our joint-venture with Saudi Post. Established by Royal Decree, Naqel is unique in being Saudi Arabia’s first ever private-public company.
Today Arabian Hala is active across many sectors and industries such as franchising, real estate, manufacturing and retail. Our corporate headquarters are located in Riyadh and we employ a multinational workforce of more than 3,000 highly trained and dedicated people.

Avis Saudi Arabia traces it roots back to 1977 when Arabian Hala Company launched Hala Rent-a-Car – starting with just 27 vehicles. Almost two decades later in 1993, our continued growth and success saw us become the exclusive franchisee for Avis in Saudi Arabia.
Today, Avis Saudi Arabia is one of the country’s leading rent-a-car companies and enjoys a loyal following of individual as well as corporate clients. Our extensive branch network spreads across Saudi Arabia’s main cities and major airports, and offers a fleet of more than 10,500 vehicles. Our range of services includes chauffeur-driven vehicles and international reservations, in addition to corporate rental and leasing solutions.
We focus on delivering impeccable service quality and a delightful customer experience. The average age of our fleet is less than two years and we ensure you have a wide choice of brands and models. Our team receives regular training from Avis International to help maintain the high standards that our clients have come to expect from us.
